Mattel’s corporate website

I joined the team at Nemo Design to migrate the website of their longtime client, Mattel. We built the responsive website using Builder.io, and managed the project with Miro.

Unified UI

Mattel’s corporate site, Shopify site, and Investor site are built on separate platforms. Working across various teams, we aligned assets like iconography and navigation, resulting in a seamless user experience.

Brands abound

With over 200 sub-brands, the logo-based navigation maxed out the Builder.io platform. To solve for this, we introduced data models to generate dynamic brand rollovers that can flex as new brands are introduced.

Making history

Rather than a single-scroll page listing every Mattel sub-brand, I introduced sticky navigation broken down by decades.

In addition, subtle animations were included, and the UI was modernized to showcase toys of historical importance.

Hand-off and a high-five

We built a responsive component library and led design sessions for the Mattel creative team before handing over the website.
